“For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will fill you with joy.” Proverbs 2:10 NLT

Anyone who lives in Florida becomes well aware of sink holes. A whole city block sank in Winter Park, Florida, in the 1970’s, and interstate highways, homes, and businesses continue to sink. My

One of the realities of life is that we will all at sometime, and many times often, experience the sink holes of shattered dreams.

Our make-believe dreams of living the perfect life with great friends, great spouses, perfect children, trouble- free relationships, great looks, great jobs, and great health sink under the pressure of living life in a sin-sick world.

The real question is not if, but when, our dreams get shattered, how do we respond? How do we fill these sink holes of life?

Many have turned to alcohol, drugs, or other destructive relationships or practices to take away the hurt and get their minds off of their shattered dreams. Some will try to fill the big hole of despair with anger at God and withdrawal into living joyless lives. Others will become offensive to cover up the hurt and vent their frustrations over shattered dreams.

The best defense for shattered dreams is to first realize that we are not living in a make-believe world but as imperfect people living in a sin-sick world inhabited by imperfect people.

Once we accept these realities, it is not hard to realize that we need a Savior, a deliverer, a comforter, and helper who can and will fill our sink holes with living water. He will give us the power and strength to persevere and prosper through our shattered dreams.

Father, thank you for giving me Your all- surpassing peace and all-sufficient grace for my sink holes of life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“If the godly compromise with the wicked, it is like polluting a fountain or muddying a spring.” Proverbs 25:26

We seem to be living in the age of toleration. We are asked to tolerate life styles that the Lord calls abominations. We are asked to compromise and give up some of our strongly held beliefs in the name of tolerance. Our tolerance and apparent indifference has eroded our family values, made homosexuality and abortion respectable.

While longsuffering and patience are evidence of the fruit of the Spirit, compromise of our beliefs by letting false teachings and sinful practices go unchallenged are not on the list. of fruit.

Does pro choice not also really mean that a woman has the choice to murder a child? Does freedom of religion mean that we allow secular humanism become the religion of the state and schools?

Jesus did not tolerate the money changers in the temple or the hypocrisy of the scribes and Pharisees.

Toleration has brought our misery index to an all time high. We are not only breaking our covenant with God, but we are robbing our children and future generations of the blessing of God’s covenant of Grace.

We are not commanded to tolerate, but to love. True love does not mean caving in and tolerating sin, or becoming self righteous and judgmental.

We must reach out in love and bring the power of the Word of God into the lives of others. Only
God can judge and change hearts and work repentance, and he does this primarily through His Word.

Father, give me the wisdom, spiritual discernment, and courage to love but never to tolerate, and to know the difference. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

We should run, from this intolerance. Please view this brief movie and post your comments below
