Collision Avoidance Systems

Federal Aviation Administration records show over a hundred “mid-air collision near misses” each year. All planes now carry collision avoidance equipment to warn of impending crashes with other planes, mountains, or other objects and to give instructions on how to avoid them.
Millions of dollars are being spent on research to design a workable collision avoidance system on automobiles. Many new cars come with a warning system that sound the alarm when you are about to back into something. Read the rest of this entry »
