Are You Broad Minded?

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.” Matthew 7:13 NIV

In these days of relative truth and political correctness, it’s all about being “broad minded.” Tolerance is the virtue of the vanity of man and the abomination of our holy and just God.

As sin is flaunted on TV, movies, and the internet and community and morality are at or near an all time low, it is good to consider how broad minded we have become.

The voices in the wilderness calling for repentance are being drowned out by the voices of the world calling for pleasure seekers to be all they can be in living in cesspools of sin in total disregard for the clear commandments and teachings of God.

God is very accommodating in giving us all the choice of being broad minded or narrow minded.

We can choose to lose our lives forever, or we can choose to lose our lives and find life forever through Christ.

When we choose to reject the call of Christ when He comes knocking, we are choosing the broad path to destruction and death.

When we, in the power of the Holy Spirit, receive Jesus Christ into our hearts as our Lord and Savior, we have found the narrow way and the only way that leads to life forever as sons and daughters of the living God.

God is not broad minded about sin. He has decreed that its wages are death and damnation.

All of the broad mindedness in the world will not be enough to save anyone from the death and destruction of hell reserved for those who choose to refuse Jesus Christ.

Father, keep me on the narrow path that leads to the true joy and eternal bliss of heaven. Amen.
