Bring Back the Romance!

Read Matthew 13:13-30, Psalm 51
Bring Back the Romance!

“Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.” Revelation 2:4, 5

When you fell in love with your spouse you were filled with passion, thought about him or her day and night, and would look for ways to please him or her.

Sometimes the ravages of living in a sin- sick world cause betrayal, anger, or unmet expectations. When selfishness, greed, unforgiveness, or a critical spirit move in, love often moves out.

When we first fell in love with Jesus, we experienced the peace and joy of our salvation and the assurance of everlasting life. We thought about, and prayed to, Him, were on fire to tell others about Him, and looked for ways to please Him.

Unfortunately for many of us, our passion and romance with Jesus
was put on the back burner as we got caught up in living life our way and by the world’s standards, instead of living God’s way and for His glory.

Instead of keeping God first, we relegated him to a distant second, or worse, in our overall love list. We neglected corporate and personal worship and got out of His Word, preferring the vast wasteland of TV and other sinful distractions.

In His longsuffering and patience, God will put up with a lot more rebellion and playing second fiddle than we would, and the Holy Spirit will continue to work mightily to bring us prodigals out of the pig sty and back into the sheepfold.

Father, keep the Romance with you in my life by power of your Holy Spirit In Jesus’ name, Amen

  • I’ve been told by a friend that Clickbank tries to make it complex to receive a commission by way of compelling you to vend loads of varied digital products through a range of debit cards and then Paypal. I want to utilise Clickbank though I am worried about it. Is it correct?
