It’s So Good to Know!
Read 2 Corinthians 4, Isaiah 43
It’s So Good to Know!
“When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” Isaiah 43:2 NLT
If we have never wandered aimlessly lost, we should thank God that we have been spared the futility of a life apart from God. If we have known the feeling of being lost, we should thank God that He has put us on the right path through this barren wilderness of sin.
Jesus Christ came to earth to light the way for us to come home to God and to enjoy reconciliation and restoration with Him. We find a new life in Him.
No one is spared troubles and difficulties in this life. Trouble is just an illness or a circumstance, phone call, temptation, or sin away as long as we are living in this world.
This is why it’s so good to know that in Jesus, we have a Savior who has overcome the world! Not only has He overcome the world, He has overcome death and now lives forever. Because Jesus lives, we can go through the deep waters without drowning and life’s fires without burning.
Our fears and doubts are replaced by the confidence of knowing that God does work all things for our good and His glory, that a means of escape will be provided for every temptation, and that nothing can ever separate us from the love of God that is ours through faith in Jesus Christ.
Knowing that God is for us and our very present help in time of trouble should give us the strength and encouragement we need to get through the deep waters and fiery trials of life ever mindful of the prize that awaits on the other side.
Father, thank you for the assurance of Your presence and protection during the trials of life. In Jesus’ name, Amen
