Have You Been Validated?

“So, friends, confirm God’s invitation to you, his choice of you. Don’t put it off; do it now.” 2 Peter 1:10 MSG

“He’ll validate your life in the clear light of day and stamp you with approval at high noon.” Psalm 37:6 MSG

A lot of stores and restaurants offer free parking in commercial parking garages, but you have to get your ticket validated.

God offers a free parking space in heaven, but you have to get validated by faith in Jesus Christ who paid for your ticket with His blood on the Cross.

Jesus not only stands at the door and knocks, inviting us all into a personal relationship with Him, but He is seated at the right hand of God holding the spot open for us.

Jesus gives us all the validation we need in this world and all eternity.

By his stripes we have been healed. By rising from the dead He has validated that we too will rise from the grave into eternal life.

We too often seek to validate ourselves by the world’s standards instead of God’s. All over the world, there are people who have nothing, but have everything in Christ. There are people who have everything but have nothing because they are separated from God.

When we find Christ, we find unconditional love, forever forgiveness, and the security and validation of God as His grace erases guilt, and sustains us daily no matter what. “who will also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 1:8

The standards of the world and the approval of other people may validate us for a short time in this world; be we must always be mindful that this world is not our home and that our validation in Christ is the only one that will last forever.

There should be evidence of our validation in the lives we live. If our lives don’t fit who we are in Christ, we had best seek the transforming power of the Holy Spirit and God’s grace by abiding in Him through His Word, prayer, and the fellowship of other believers.

Thank you for confirming me through your righteousness
