“Destruction is certain for those who say that evil is good and good is evil; that dark is light and light is dark; that bitter is sweet and sweet is bitter.” Isaiah 5:20

There is a war raging throughout the world. The powers of darkness and forces of evil are assaulting Christ and His Church from within and without.

The minds of men are being poisoned by enlightened thinking and liberating lifestyles that end in bondage, misery, darkness, and despair.

It all starts with the denial that man is sinful, and that sexual immorality is not sin but “Victorian prudishness.” There are no moral absolutes. Everything is relative. The end justifies the means.

We are called to worship the intellect of man and to deny the existence and sovereignty of God. God’s Word is dismissed as irrelevant and untrue. Those who dare to believe the Bible are facing ridicule and scorn more and more.

AIDS, undermining of the family and family values, corruption, cruelty, and compromise are just a few of the fruits of victory for this new age of enlightenment and idolatry. When we seek to become all that we can be apart from God, we become all that we shouldn’t be and are doomed for eternal death and destruction.

The good news is that we don’t have to succumb and be casualties in this raging spiritual warfare that is spreading like wildfire. We have a mighty fortress in our God, who is our Shield and Defender, and who has provided His full armor for our protection and our victory.

Before God’s patience wears out, we had better let His Son and the salvation He brings into our lives before the certain destruction comes.

Father, let me rejoice in the victory over destruction that You won for me on the cross at Calvary. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
