Are You Amply Wired?

Sorry No Audio Today?

“Though I am surrounded by troubles, You will preserve me against the anger of my enemies. You will clench your fist against my angry enemies! Your power will save me.”  Psalm 138:7 NLT

Having ample electrical circuits has become an ever-increasing problem, especially for older houses built before the days of air conditioning, electric water heaters, heat pumps, etc.

Many older homes still have four or five circuits with old-fashioned fuses that often burn out and throw a room or house into total darkness.

Houses now come with 200 to 500 amp services in order to meet the demands of all the electrical appliances and fixtures.

People living in today’s sin-sick, stress-filled world also have a problem in handling the overloads of life. Some psychiatrists use a 300 amp stress index limit for people’s ability to cope with the traumas of life.

Divorce, death of a loved one, health issues, financial, and relational problems head the list of disasters that can pile up and cause a physical or emotional burnout or breakdown when the combination reaches or exceeds a score of 300.

Today’s believers need to develop the character of the early martyrs who endured through the trials and tests of life by persevering and growing into the fullness of Christ through it all.

It is only through growing into His fullness that we can really know that God’s grace is all sufficient, that His strength is made perfect in our weaknesses, and that He does work all things to the good.

Just as a bigger electrical service increases our power capacity, a bigger faith honed and sharpened by persevering in the faith through the storms of life increases our comfort zone and capacity for living joyously and victoriously in today’s world.

Father, keep the power of the Holy Spirit flowing so that I don’t have a short circuit or blow a fuse on my journey of life.In Jesus’ name, Amen.
