Rest In My Love

You don’t fully understand My love for you. It flows and pulsates; it hovers over you. It is deep and passionate. It is never-ending. I only want what’s best for you–the very best!

When you are afraid of making a mistake, you aren’t seeing Me clearly.

When you ask for forgiveness more than once (for the same thing), you are giving in to unbelief and fear, for you are completely forgiven the first time.

Rest in My arms. Trust in My forgiveness and favor.

I know your heart–you want to please Me. Let Me take care of you; let Me guide you. I will help you find the right path.

You will hear My voice, for I will increase you hearing. You will see My face of love and compassion turned toward you.

Rest in My love. I will take care of everything!

I Am Shaping You

I see every concern before it is ever formed as a thought. I know your heart’s desire. You still listen to the whispers of the enemy before relying upon My Nature. I am good all of the time. I change not, but am the same yesterday, today and forever.

You still try to do things your way and carry them upon your shoulders.

I carried the cross and the weight of the world upon My shoulders, surely I will carry this for you, My child. I am in control and not you.

Let go and trust Me and see if I will not open doors that have long since been locked.

I long to bless you and show you My favor. Let Me demonstrate My love for you as I desire all the glory for what I am producing in your life.

You can’t even imagine the lengths that I will go to for you. My hand is not shortened in any circumstance. Surely this is a small thing for Me. I will give you the desires of your heart as you wait on Me. I am holding you, guiding you, and further shaping you into My vessel.

My Love

There is a silence into which the world cannot intrude. There is an ancient peace you carry in your heart and have not lost. There is a love you have missed for so long and will always come back to.

It is called the love of God. That is the hole in your heart that nothing can replace. That IS the yearning you feel. Come back, says the Lord, for I am waiting for you with open arms. Come back, I am here for you for all of eternity. Come back. Nothing shall separate you from My love–NOTHING. Come back I am waiting for you with open arms.

What Will We Leave Behind?

“You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce fruit that will last, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.” John 15:16. NLT

Sooner or later we are going to leave this world and move onward and upward if we have faith in Jesus. The bright future we have in Christ and His promises should cause us all to rejoice.

We should all be striving to leave something behind. Instead of immediately thinking of possessions and to whom we will leave them, we need to think about leaving fruit that will last in a legacy of love. Read the rest of this devotional »
